From director Jonathan Blow (Braid, The Witness), Order of the Sinking Star is a narrative adventure set in a realm of magic and enigma. Solve over 1000 interconnected, hand-crafted puzzles, discover unique playable heroes, master evolving gameplay mechanics, and decipher a grand mystery.

When does Order of the Sinking Star come out?

October 8, 2026 on PC (Steam), PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch 2. Steam unlocks at 18:00 UTC (11:00 AM PT, 2:00 AM Oct 9 Beijing time).

Can my PC run it?

Official system requirements have not been published yet — the Steam listing is still placeholder (TBD). The free demo is the best compatibility test, and Steam Deck is Verified.

How much will it cost / can I pre-order?

Pricing and pre-purchase are not open yet; no price had been listed on Steam as of mid-September 2026. The free demo is live now and its progress carries over to the full game.

Is it coming to Xbox or other platforms?

No Xbox version has been announced. It is confirmed for Steam (Steam Deck Verified), PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch 2.

More than 1,000 hand-crafted puzzles across four interconnected worlds (director Jonathan Blow says over 1,400) — an estimated 250 hours at a normal pace, 500+ hours to solve everything. Full English and Simplified Chinese voice-over; interface in 11 languages.
